Academically, he is a brilliant engineer and holds a management degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has served in the Indian embassies located in various continents and held various positions in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, including serving twice as RPO in Chennai and Delhi.
